"Roy was an exceptional host, he was very informative about how to get to the property as the sat nav was a little bit unreliable. He showed us around the hut with all the facilities that were available. The hut had everything u could possible need. It was beautiful and relaxing and I cannot fault it at all. "The hosts were fabulous and blew is away with their welcome pack but is not suitable to sleep 4. Everything is just in one room and there's only seating for 2 unless you want to sit on a bar stool. The layout also needs rethinking because at one point my wife was in bed having a cup of tea and waved to the hosts as they pulled up in their car. If they switched the sofa and bed you'd get more privacy and be able to watch the tv from the sofa. Otherwise, it was great. Would recommend for a couple."

"The hut is in an off grid location. Perfect for a weekend away. Mandy had thought of everything for a comfortable stay. The hot tub is a great addition with amazing views. We had a slight issue on our last day where the hut ran out of gas but Mandy was kind to sort this. We would definitely recommend. "

"We really enjoyed our stay, The shepherds hut exceeded our expectations, well equipped, cosy and in a great private location overlooking the forest. The hut was so lovely and warm with central heating and a log burner, the bed was comfortable, and the fixtures and fittings looked brand new. Also the rainfall shower was a lovely surprise. "A wonderful location for a last minute short break. The Barn was exactly what we needed and as described. We could happily sit and look at the Views and sunset from the garden / patio, whilst relaxing. Walking possible direct from the Barn and easy access to loads of places to visit across the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Great communication from host.
