"À hidden gem of a hotel in Kyoto. I always stay here when I return to Kyoto. A beautiful, well-appointed entrance, and as you pass through the door… fragrances and music that inspired Zen, a modern, uncluttered decor with a beautiful marriage of wood in contemporary architecture, a small bakery in the entrance area where the you can buy a variety of breads baked on site and a courteous welcome as we are used to in Japan. It is obvious that the design team had all their talent and heart at work. The attention to detail to create a near-perfect atmosphere for all the senses…yes, all the senses…was very evident. From the fragrances of the soaps, to the faucets in the shower, the creative work was evident there. The well-equipped restaurant for dinner and my best breakfast in a hotel to date, the bread bar filled with products cooked on site. In addition, a roof terrace on the 6th floor with bar, sofas, heaters and warm blankets in the evening when the temperature was approaching zero. "

"Overall good. Only complaints are that our Superior Room was not at all sound proof as it advertises; you can hear very clearly what is outside and what is inside. Also, bathroom shower curtains smelled like mold. Otherwise, everything was great especially the food for breakfast and dinner (dinner also costs about 100 USD and isn’t with any package, but was very fancy)"

"I had a great experience at this hotel. It is a walkable distance from Kyoto station, nishi honganji temple and higashi honganji temple. The beds are comfortable and the breakfasts are delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Kyoto "

"Our recent stay in Kyoto, Japan was absolutely magical! From start to finish, the hotel exceeded all our expectations. We were celebrating our 7th anniversary, and Koji, the incredible Assistant Manager, along with his team, made it unforgettable with their warm congratulations, a thoughtful gift, and an upgrade to a stunning corner room on the highest floor! The level of hospitality and attention to detail was truly next level. Our room was spotless, and housekeeping refreshed our amenities daily, ensuring everything was perfect. Breakfast buffet was a delight—delicious food with lots of options, a clean and cozy dining space, and the most attentive staff! Convenience was another highlight: a Family Mart right next door with its own hotel entrance, making it so easy to grab snacks or essentials. The location couldn’t be better—just a 3-minute walk to the JR station, next to a gorgeous city park, and a stone’s throw from amazing attractions like the Train Museum (4 mins), the aquarium (5 mins), and Kyoto Station (18 mins) For families, it’s super kid-friendly with so many activities nearby! Oh, and we *have* to rave about the on-site BIG Public Bath for hotel guests. Soaking in the relaxing bath every evening after exploring Kyoto was the ultimate treat. 🛁 We feel so lucky and grateful for this incredible experience.
