"I stayed one night on Christmas Eve. with my 3 children. Our room was clean and cute. We had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. The shower was small with no bathtub, but I'm guessing the place is older. Everything was great and there is a rocker on the porch. I'd stay again if needed. "

"Amazing quaint, cozy and well maintained inn located on the side of a mountain right near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Decorated for the holidays, ordered the bison burger at the restaurant downstairs aftet a long drive. Property manager husband and wife team were welcoming and full of hospitality for a solo snd weary traveler staying one night with her dog. Very pet friendly property. Room was very comfortable and had everything you needed. Bed, comforter, blankets and pillows were nice and snug. Took a nice hot shower with all the essentials. Mountain view on balcony offers an amazing view and sunshine rays in the morning! Highly recommend a stopover here if driving through western Carolina. "

"My daughter and I stayed for our annual 2 week vacation away from "the guys". Bear's Den is everything we needed to recharge. The property and home are great. We spent a great deal of time outside painting, birdwatching, and reading. Listening to the river running was so relaxing. House has just about everything you need. The hot tub was perfect for after a hike. There are neighbors within view, but far enough away to still feel secluded. Just a wonderful place to get away and drown yourself in nature. "
