"Cozy home from which to explore Sooke and points west. It was pouring almost all the time we were there but there are still beaches to explore (Whiffen Spit is amazing), and the Sooke Brewery has a heated / covered outdoor space that is child- and dog-friendly. In the evening, the sauna and 2-person hot tub can warm you up even if the weather isn't cooperating!"

"The cottage was exceptionally clean, well cared for and had all the amenities we needed and more. Danny welcomed us shortly after we arrived and made sure we knew where to find everything, and had helpful local recommendations. We had the most beautiful weekend hiking, relaxing and eating good food. We will definitely be back!"

"We've stayed at this great cabin 3 times thus far, and hope to return again sometime. The location is a wonderful base of operations from which to explore the many fabulous hiking trails nearby. The cabin is spacious and very well appointed. We loved the outdoor hot tub, even in the rain, and the very efficient wood stove inside added to the ambience. "

"Roman was an excellent host and very helpful with anything we asked for. The pond, sauna and size of the property were highlights. Just the kitchen was really tight for space and could have used a few more bowls and larger cups. The beds were very comfortable and there was a comfy couch and big tv. The views were also amazing. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, especially for our dog Tavish who got to swim every day!"

"Very beautiful home and property and stocked with all possible kitchen needs"

"Spent our first night and husband and wife. Was nice to get away from the city without having to drive too much. No frills basic stay. No light pollution on the night of Perseids meteor shower made for some romantic star gazing. Mongolian yurts were interesting to see! Thanks for a nice stay!"

"The perfect place for us and our pooch! The place had everything we needed and then some. It is welcoming and comfortable - my only complaint is we could not stay longer! It's close to everything, yet quite private and quiet. The outdoor space and hot tub are wonderful. If you enjoy cooking, this place has everything you need, including a fresh herb garden! Highly recommend. "

"I stayed here with my Mom, kids, brother and his wife. The suite was beautiful, and we had access to their pond and hot tub. I assumed it would be the full home because I booked through VRBO, but the home owners live upstairs. I slept in the bunk bed room with my kids, but my Mom said it was really loud in her room with people walking around upstairs in the evening and morning. Otherwise stunning location and home."

"This astonishing house sits in a huge property in the middle of the rain forest that includes its own pond and trails. Beautifully landscaped, the owners have taken care of every little detail around the house. We spent the entire fall and part of the winter at the Gong suite. The main room looks more like a presidential suite than a bedroom, and the massive windows overlooking the canopy forest are just unreal. Very nice porch and fire pit area below as well.Although too cold to swim in the...
