"On the plus size this is a truely unique location and the people that converted this space from a dull 1970s BT building to a cool house should be applauded. It's a perfect getaway location and you're truely isolated (in a good way) but with lots of great walks and places to explore. We really enjoyed all the smuggling past nearby. Things which could be improved - this clearly was a labour of love which needs reinventing. You can feel it's all a bit tired - equipment that no longer functions,...

"We looked with enthusiasm at our holiday. But were terribly let down: (1) car parking was a problem (2) accommodation was basic with no "Visitors Book" to leave comments (3) beds were uncomfortable (4) cooking utensils were sparse. When we normally rent there is always a bottle of wine, a few biscuits or snacks and other bits and pieces to get started. Never Again."

"My family and I stayed at the French Mill Granary for 3 nights. We really enjoyed it. Our teenage daughter slept in the gypsy caravan which she loved. The garden was fabulous (our dog loved to run and discover various parts) and the swing was a hit. Everyone was very helpful giving us ideas about the places we could visit. We really enjoyed the Isle of Wight and staying at the the Granary which is in a very good location to travel around. Thank you"

"We returned to the cottage after our first stay last year because it was so lovely and comfortable. This time we also used the cottage next door for our grandchildren, who absolutely loved it. The cottage itself is in a great rural location but nevertheless only 10 mins drive from a supermarket and Freshwater Bay if you need a takeaway or food. It's also just a quarter of a mile from a bus-stop to Newport in one direction and Yarmouth in the other (if you don't have a car) so therefore ideal...

"lovely place but was so dirty not one clean plate / cup/ pan in oven with dirty fat in cob webs on cob webs they been there so long they gone dark in colour they hanging of the walls ,we sweep floor there was so much long black hair wasnt ours iv got no hair and my dads very short grey .broken loo seat not good for disabled dad iv stay in a lot of hol homes never send one so dirty "

"We stayed at the beautiful Pear Tree Cottage for 4 nights while visiting places within the New Forest National Park. Both the park and the cottage are superb. The cottage is in a great location. Sarah treats you right. Clean and very comfortable. "

"We were pleasantly surprised by this optimally used, well-maintained, expertly built accommodation-for-two. Friendly hosts. Location of the accomodation is great for cyclists, close to the New Forest National Park."

"The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable short stay with our children. I had a welcome text to check everything was ok, so nice to know someone was at the end of the phone should we need. Good base location situated on the grounds of The Garlic Farm and the shop, restaurant, cafe and games room all came in handy. Parking was easy too. Short drive from Ryde ferry port and Sandown beach. We also had a lovely meal at the recommended The Pointer Inn pub down the road....

"Very cosy comfortable charming cottage close to Brockenhurst. Perfect for a group of friends. We were met by the host when we arrived who explained how everything worked. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious, the sitting room has a woodburner with plenty of logs supplied. We were a bit disappointed by the lack of public footpaths in the area - it is really better suited to cycling than walking. However the cottage was really lovely."

"The Grain store was perfect for our stay. The access to the Red Squirrel trail was a real bonus for dog walking. Ideal location for getting out and about and very comfortable accommodation. The Peacock wandering around was a surprise! "
