"We were very impressed with Villa Fontanelle - a true "villa" level experience! Facilities were even better than advertised, with air conditioning now available on both floors. Martina welcomed us and took care of our wishes in a quick and exemplary manner, fully utilizing WhatsApp for easy-to-use guidance and links. The pool was great and we had it 100% for ourselves. Not cheap, but definitely worth the money!"

"Motta Camastra is a family treasure that has been painstakingly and beautifully restored. The town is very old, population about 800. The residents are very friendly and helpful. The town sits on a mountain top with beautiful vistas and fabulous sunsets. Fabulous views of Mt Etna. Not the easiest to druve to sitting on a mountain top. VERY winding road up to the town with many SHARP hairpin turns--not for the faint of heart! Host and hostess were extremely nice."

Single lane access and street parking not suitable for a large vehicle. "This is a fantastic location, walkable to the beach and lots of great seafood restaurants. It is extremely useful to have your own private area to park. Air conditioning and a dishwasher!!!! were a big plus. Carmen was a really good host, milk, wine, beer, yoghurts in the fridge when we arrived, along with fresh fruit. It was our wedding anniversary and Carmen presented me with flowers on our arrival which also made it very special. Thank you again Carmen"

I checked in late Sunday afternoon which meant reception was not staffed, but intercom provided all information to get in and access key card. Very comfortable bed and perfect pillows.
