"Please, don't tell anyone about this place. So quiet and peaceful, our family enjoyed the perfect Costa Rican experience. Property managers answered all our needs and the owner was very nice! "We arrived approximately 11:00 pm, tired after a full day of travel. Working through Spanish speaking entry guards, we learned we did not have a place to stay. The process took us almost an hour. We were given a different apartment. It was uninviting and dark. Not enough towels. The top sheet was under a pillow. One of our parties found it on their bed. The other did not and slept without."

"I just spent a week for Thanksgiving at this incredible home. It is even more beautiful in person. The house is equipped with everything you need. The management is quick to respond. The owners checked in while I was there to see if I needed anything. Great home and great hosts. "

"Casa de las Aves is a fabulous property. The views of the mountains are exceptional and the birds, butterflies, iguanas and bugs will keep you occupied the entire time. We were treated to a rare visit by Scarlet Macaws! It’s a short trip into town but it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere - in a good way. Klaas and Sandra, the property managers, were fabulous! They took care of all details, from stocking groceries to arranging transportation. All in all, a fantastic experience."

"The house is spacious and airy, and the yard also is large and nicely landscaped. The house sits further back from the road than most houses in Costa Rica, but there is still a lot of road noise for someone coming from the United States. The property manager was pleasant, responsive, and helpful, with a good command of English. We do have some suggestions for improvement: (1) keep more towels in the bathrooms; (2) add towel racks in bathrooms to allow for drying of towels; (3) supply paper...
