"Riads are tough to review. Parking is always horrendous - don’t believe them when they say “offsite parking available.” This is a cop out - you will be finding street parking and making a deal with a total stranger who could care less about the Riad. And they will try to scam you for a higher rate. This is well decorated and the staff is excellent. But the rooms are weirdly laid out. See some pictures. This includes floor level windows that open to the center courtyard etc. and uneven floors....

"A very comfortable Riad. Very well equipped room, with an electric kettle, a supply of good Moroccan tea. Wardrobe with hangers, working heater, clean sheets, towels changed daily. Comfortable bed. "I was truly expecting a much nicer Riad at this per night price. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff were super nice. I will begin with the worst. I got poisoning from the breakfast! I was sick for 24 hours. They must monitor the food service and make sure everything is fresh. The room was extremely small and not well designed. The bathroom was a total disgrace. It was not clean and rusted. AWFUL. I have been at other Riads, which were lower priced and were a thousand...

"The room was large, bright, and clean. Great location just across the street from the medina and 10-15 minute walk to the Kasbah, Hassam Tower, Rabat-Ville train station. When the wifi did not work in my initial room, the guy at the front desk immediately offered to change my room and the wifi worked perfectly in the new room all throughout my four day stay. "L'Alcazar was opulent with Moroccan decor. The Moroccan staff was kind and professional. Kindness was top priority. The rooms are large. There is an amazing roof top terrace with a pool. You can walk out the front door into the Medina for shopping and traditional food. I highly recommend hiring a Rickshaw to tour Rabat's King's Palace and Chellah. Be sure to enjoy the mint tea. I highly recommend L'Alcazar and give it an A . Enjoy!"
