"Great stay! The Knotty Bear cabin was perfect for our group- 4 adults, 2 dogs. Kitchen had everything you could need. The in house amenities- ping pong, Fooseball, shuffle board, board games made rainy day entertainment way more fun. 6 minute drive to the Wisp for skiing. "

"Loved the property: convenient to slopes, beautifully decorated, & lots of amenities. Property management swore that the 2.5” square, 8” thick slab of ice was not there when we arrived. So I sent them photos of it, along with the clear entry to units on both sides. The last response I received from property mgt was: we will get back to you - never got back. So I purchased an ice shovel & spent an hour breaking it up myself - I’m 76."

Our only complaint with the house was that it was extraordinarily hot for the lake, so the beautiful panoramic windows invited the heat and caused the AC units to work hard. With the AC not keeping up with the daytime needs of those of us in the house, it was pretty uncomfortable. .The house stayed warm into the evening, and cooled down again through the night. "It was such a a convenient location for a ski trip at WISP Resort. We were able to leave the resort and get lunch at the house and get right back in just a few minutes. Overall it was a good place to stay, but some of the amenities are in need of repair. The hot tub leaked and we needed to constantly fill it with buckets of cold water from the hose bib. The dishwasher leaks. The garbage disposal didn't work. One of the beds had a broken bed post. Overall, none of these things significantly...

"We come to deep creek every February and this is by far the best house we have ever rented. Cozy, clean and dog friendly. We loved it and will definitely be back again! Owners definitely take pride in their home and it shows. "
