"This is a beautiful hotel in a great location, right in the middle of the very long Matemwe beach. We loved everything about the hotel. Our room - a junior suite with a beach view and balcony - was gorgeous and very large. There was a view of the ocean from every room, including the shower, and the room was very clean and comfortable in every way. "Wow, wow wow!!!!!! Honestly, if I can give this place 10 out of 10 I would .This hotel was beyond my expectations. The staff went beyond and above the cleanliness of the room was top-notch. The food was to die for I am in Boston craving it currently. For anyone traveling to Zanzibar this is the place you have to go to. Beach is walking distance so it’s super convenient. Communication with manager was amazing even before I arrived fast and efficient. I would love to shout out The following...

"Lovely place to stay. Food was ok. Room very spacious and beautifully decorated. Massage was absolutely beautiful. The staff were very attentive and friendly, the manager was a bit of an opportunist and will try get extra $$ when he gets a chance. Overall beautiful place. Would definitely recommend."

"It was a shame about the hot water we only got this on the second last night and I would advise having a small fridge in the rooms .. other this we were very happy with the stay Communications need to be better between reveption and reception area as we needed to head out very early a few days so we went over for breakfast but we're never told we need to request early breakfast etc, small teething problems "

"We really looked forward to staying at the Zanzibar Queen given other reviews. It didnt disappoint. Fantastic location in beautifully kept grounds. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The pool area was clean and enticing. There was also boules, volleyball and badminton available to keep the body exercised. As well as table tennis and darts. The restaurant was superb. Ingredients and dishes were varied and akin to fine dining. Resort felt very private although effectively right on the beach....

"I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area. I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely. At night time I had an evening meal which was tasty and they accommodated my dietary requirements very well. I am gluten intolerant. I recommend this hotel if you like quiet and beauty filled...
