"We’ve stayed in the other property and that seemed to be abit more updated than this one. It advertised as having internet but as property is so remote and thick cottage stone we couldn’t get any internet. Also kitchen area may be needs some updating. All in all had a lovely time. "

"A well equipped and beautifully located cottage. Good position for visiting Buxton, Chester Zoo and all the Peak District walks. Good Local amenities. Friendly owners on hand for any issues or queries. Easily sleeps 8 (2 double and 2 twin room) and has two lovely hot showers. Plenty space for families!"

"Lovely cottage. Secluded spot, very quiet and great views. Very well set up for dogs - great having a fenced field for them to run around safely. Bowls, balls, dog towels, poo bags, etc provided. Very comfy for the humans too!"

"We frequently stay in holiday properties and so know what you can get for £140 / night and sadly this was not up to the standards we would expect. The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. It was not clean, the tiles in the bathroom were mouldy, under the furniture were dead woodlouse and other remnants of insects, cobwebs everywhere and the lavatory off the main bedroom was very poorly cleaned. "Was great inside and had everything we could have needed. It was cosy and clean too. Parking was a tight squeeze for one of the spaces, but it was appreciated."

"Used this home as a base for a weekend in the Peak District, with 5 other couples. The building is stunning, kitchen is well stocked with appliances and other items. 2 fridge/freezers which were handy. Lots of spaces to relax and the hot tub was fantastic. WiFi is poor in wider areas of the house but excellent within the room of the house the modem is in. However, this is expected in a building of this size and didn’t ruin the weekend at all. Fanastic space to celebrate with friends for....

"Cosy, comfy cottage. A few cobwebs but nothing too bad. Electric radiators in all the rooms so heating wasn’t a problem. Me and my brother stayed as it was close to Mam Tor. The host was a character but pleasant enough and left us to it. He lives in the adjoining property so worth considering if you want total privacy. Overall, we enjoyed staying there."
