"The Hotel 1928 was a beautiful hotel and very nice staff, but the location and area around the hotel was not very good and not sure if it was very safe area at night. We were going to walk to the Magnolia Market from the hotel, but it did not seem safe. There were security bars on most buildings and establishments around the hotel. "

"Besides them giving another guest a key to my room the stay was great. They fixed the situation in a timely manner. There was rust in the tub though and for a new place that isn’t a good look."

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Waco Downtown - Baylor

"I was not a big fan of La Quinta years ago but they have really stepped up their game! I read the reviews prior to booking and decided to give this location a try. I was pleasantly surprised! The location was very close to Baylor University and restaurants. Parking was free and tons of spots available. The hotel itself was really clean from the lobby to the rooms. The breakfast was also good with a ton of options. The staff was helpful and they had a snack section which was convenient. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here the next time I visit Waco. "
