"Great accommodations. Super clean and above average staff. English speaking staff, very helpful. Easy walk down to the port. Metro a few steps away. Some issues with litter around the area but not a big deal. We were 2 retired women and felt very safe at all times. "

"My stay was great. The reception staff are exceedingly friendly, I couldn’t fault the cleanliness, the only minor drawback was the location, which, while be very convenient, located only 5 minutes away from “Gare Saint Charles”, (the station which has the connecting bus to the airport) was in a slightly disputably area. However I am from rural England so any city to me is disreputable, I’m sure anybody from London would have no issue at all (it’s also only 20 minutes walk from the old port). Would recommend this hotel to anybody who asked, though, (and the air conditioning and rooms were so pleasant I overslept everyday of my trip)."

"This is a beautiful, centrally located hotel in a historic building. You’d be hard pressed to find a nicer place to stay in Marseille. Because of the size and age of the building, the air conditioning wasn’t quite as cold as I would’ve like but I otherwise have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. Get a room with a balcony if you can - it’s worth it!"

"This hotel had just been remodeled with the latest desired finishes and amenities. The room was large with all the accessories and facing the marina. The hotel restaurant with outdoor seating was beautiful."

"The Alex Hotel & Spa was booked due to it's close proximity to the train station. The staff upon check-in were helpful & friendly and our room was clean and renovated - it was one of our favorite stays in France! Also, the balcony was a plus and was a great way to relax and unwind after a day of travel while still enjoying the city."
