"Super friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the town centre. Nice comfy clean and well maintained room. Very effective heating (which we turned down for sleeping!) on a bitterly cold February weekend. There's a limited number of free customer (non bookable) car parking spaces at the front of the building. Might not be suitable for early to bed/light sleepers due to some pre midnight music heard from the busy bar area beneath the bedrooms. Disabled guests should note that there's no lift,...

"Clean warm friendly. Restaurant and pub downstairs didnt notice it being any noisy upstairs in the room. Bed was comfortable four poster. Room spacious and tall with large window viewing street below and losehill opposite worth a walk along with mam tor at the other end. Free car park opposite the hotel."

My only issue would be it's a little bit cold in places but it's a old building whose owners (not staff) need to give it a bit of TLC "

"The one night stay was perfect, no complaints at all, bed is a super king bed, very comfortable, bathroom is really nice as well. Overall worth a stay here even just for one night or however long you wish to. The staff were friendly at all times and made us feel welcome. Will come back again"

Next morning - breakfast was great - although there was no 'bacon' for us - the server compensated by offering us additional sausages - so it wasn't too much of a disappointment. "
