"I have traveled around the world for more than 20 years and I have never been treated so rude by a hotel staff. When I paid Expedia it showed that the city Tax was included but the staff said "no". "The property was in a perfect location. It was a very quick walk to the Duomo and there were a lot of nearby shopping and dining options. The hotel room we chose was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The only issue we found was that cigarette smoke was present frequently throughout the hotel including the elevator and our room. The staff was great and moved us to a new room on arrival but the smoke drifted into our new room as well due to the location. We did not mention to the hotel staff...

"This hotel is ideal if you want to stay within the city centre. Literally 2 minutes walking to Il Duomo on a bustling Corso Vittorio Emanuele.The only drawback we experienced was that the rooms are very small, otherwise everything was excellent "

"The hotel is set in a small village on the top of a hill overlooking Lake Como. The view is gorgeous, the restaurant was awesome and the staff are so lovely. I didn’t find the room particularly comfortable but we stayed in the least expensive room so perhaps the more expensive ones are a bit cozier. Our room was very basic and a bit run down but it’s an old building and has a lot of charm. Overall, it’s lovely but if you want luxury, I would recommend upgrading your room to a suite.
