"Perfect small hotel in a wonderful location. I know there are some reviews stating people couldn't check in. We had no issues. We communicated once we landed in Spain our estimated ETA. Olats at the front desk was absolutely amazing. She gave us maps of the city, suggested sights to see, places to eat, and even gave us tips on transportation around Bermeo and to San Juan. "Plenty of parking although can be competitive for spots in the weekend. Staff was superb, offering ideas of what to explore, and even helping us reserve at the full booked restaurant. Quiet from 11pm-7am when the church bells waken the town. Room was very good for a pencion and at night the sound of the ocean sooths the soul."

"We spent a lovely four nights here. The condo was on an upper floor, with plenty of parking at the side of the building. We used supermarkets in Durango (5-10 min drive away) for groceries. It was easy to drive into Durango and take the train to Bilbao for the day too. The kitchen had the basic things you might need (small oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, washer, dishwasher, but no kettle?) and the shower was pleasingly powerful. The air con was very welcome in the sticky July...

"For anybody thinking that this will be a 'charming' rustic experience - please reconsider! We were unable to stay here - the place was musty and dark with poor cooking facilities and a layout that didnt work for us - the terrace was unusable due to mosquitoes and we couldnt open windows to air it out for same reason. We are used to camping and would prefer a tent to this accommodation. At 200 Euros a night it is hardly BUDGET - and fell well below our expectations. We didnt even last 15 minutes...
