"From the moment we arrived the staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. The hotel is a quirky, family run small hotel and great value for money. While there are some areas that could do with a refresh, the room we had was beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable.we dined in the on site Chinese restaurant which was first class and great value, the quantity of the portions defeated us! Relaxing in the remarkable well stocked bar afterwards, again the staff were friendly and attentive, and prices very reasonable. It was so welcoming and comfortable we stayed all evening. Our bed was comfortable and we got a great night's sleep. Breakfast (included)the next morning was lovely, and the most generous portions I have ever had in a hotel, leaving me struggling to eat it all (I managed!) and the bacon, sausages and hash browns were, again, the best I've had in a hotel! I can't praise this place enough, especially at the prices charged!!"

"Great hotel in a lovely location within walking distance of everything in Stamford. We had booked a Cosy Room which was on the small side but was perfectly comfortable for our one-night stay. It had a lovely view out over the gardens, and was well-equipped with a small fridge and a kettle. There were also delicious cookies in the room on our arrival. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of hot food which is cooked to order; we were able to eat it outside as the weather was so warm. The hotel has very pretty gardens and a large car park. Staff were polite and efficient. We ill definitely stay here the next time we are in Stamford."

"It was the second time we stayed in this property and it won't be the last. In a lovely village with a great pub not far away that serves amazing food. Easy access and parking with lovely hosts who live next door. Location that's perfect for visiting all of the towns and villages that Rutland has to offer. We will definitely return in the future."
