"Its an older property built In the log cabin style, but it has been well-maintained. We were very pleasantly pleased with our room, which was huge by modern hotel standards. The pool and hot tub are also large by hotel standards. If you prefer a more adventurous swim, Lake Superior comes right up to the property. We liked it so much that we booked a second night after we returned from camping and kayaking In the Apostles. The hot tub was heaven on my aching muscles. "

"We stayed at Fogarty’s Compound for a week as a family getaway. We have stayed in the Hayward/ Cable area for over the past 10 years but this was our first time staying here. We really enjoyed our stay! Being on the lake was AMAZING, especially since we had kids with us. Carol and Jim were available onsite when needed but also gave us lots of space. The cabin was clean, located on a neat property. We would definitely stay here again!"
