"This beautifully appointed cottage, next to Barry the owners home, has everything and more, than you could ever need. The view from the cottage is over rural farm land and out to the Shorebird Coast, Firth of Thames and the Coromandel ranges beyond. The moment I arrived from central Auckland I felt myself start to relax. Barry was very friendly and helpful. "Warm and cosy, modern kitchen great for cooking. Good heating and a nice big shower, needs a non slip mat. Love the farm vibe, oranges right outside the kitchen window. Private and safe. I think the sheets and duvets were singles put over the queen size bed, otherwise perfect with the electric blankets."

"Stayed at Riversong for 2 nights to climb the Pinnacles. All the beds and sofa are super comfy, kitchen is well equipped, just remember to bring your olive oil and spices etc if you intend on cooking. The spa pool was a life saver after a long walk. The river swimming spot just down from the house is gorgeous, with a platform for jumping in if you're brave enough. Such a short drive from Auckland. Will definitely be back soon. Thanks! "
