"We stayed 3 quiet nights in a bungalow. We liked the location but note that the location indicated on Expedia google maps is incorrect. The location is near Khao Pier on the east side of the island. One of the best restaurants ‘Sea Gypsy’ is located across the street. It is great value and serves the best breakfast lunch and dinner. "My husband and I had an amazing time at SAMSAM. The staffs that SAMSAM is super friendly and super responsive. The food by SAMSAM is absolutely delicious! The resort is located in a great area, and near by is walkable beach and local cafe and restaurants! The resort also offers bike rentals and scooter rental for fee which allowed us to explore the island! I would highly recommend SAMSAM :) "

"This was such a lovely stay, strong AC, beautiful bathroom, fresh towels, and comfy bed/pillows which is so hard to find in Thailand for an affordable price!! Our host was amazing, dinner next door is delicious, 711 is right there, shopping, etc. Do yourself a favor and rent a scooter so you can cruise 5-10 minutes to all the beautiful beaches! THANK YOU!! "Amazing hidden gem! Not for everybody, but if you are looking for peace and tranquility, this is your place. Excellent service, excellent breakfast prepared to order. Beautiful setting and environment. I can’t say enough great things about the staff. Not for everybody because this is indoor/outdoor living. Kitchen, dining area and several common areas are all open areas. Bedrooms are closed off and air-conditioned. Swimming pool is lovely. Overall amazing!"

"I cannot say enough about this property. The food was the best I ever had and the staff were absolutely wonderful. I had 2 spa treatments and I wanted to take the cook and the masseuse home with me. Nancy coordinated all my transportation. She was terrific. I felt at home"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sunrise. It's a family run small business and they really make you feel welcome and included. Our bungalow was immaculate and well appointed........ with a sea view too. No pool but easy walk to to swim at high tide. Would definitely recommend staying there."

"The staff were very friendly and accomodating. We were there in the off season and arrived in a heavy rain and the staff made the check in process easy. We did an excurision for the hotel in a long boat to the islands with our guide Pong. I highly recommend it was great experience swimming in the lagoon, enjoying the beach and observation tower. "Hotel lovely but a bit of a norse having to go up and down seep hill from the room after novelty wore off. Loved the free massage before breakfast & the breakfast room & food really good whatever your taste. Main pool fabulous! Beach would have been much better if they did a bit of a sweep up/rake first thing like some hotels do… beach was so much nicer at the hotel next door (?). There are some shops and nice little local restaurants just up the road off the end of the beach. Very good overall...

"Older property but rooms that we stayed at were beautifully updated. Grounds with two pools were gorgeous. Service was wonderful. The breakfast buffet plentiful and varied. The on site resort restaurants were quite good although I would not recommend the beef. Beach was wonderfully clean and private. "

"Great bed, nice balcony overlooking the pool. Quieter then I anticipated walking distances to beach and dining roof top pool was nice.staff were all very helpful and efficient.Room could be stuffy after being out there was sometimes smell of the septic. Good value for what we paid"

A mini paradise

"I love everything about this resort! Except the distance from the major areas and activities. But you can easily get to for a reasonable price with Bolt app. Customer Service superb! Maintenance of property is excellent. Its so big that you need a week to see everything, lol. Complimentary Trolly service around the property. Within walking distance of a few stores, souvenir spots, massages, and local food options. It has a waterpark, dining options, a small market, spa services, and buffet style options. I wish it was more options for breakfast. Would highly recommend, great value, and worth booking."

"Loved our stay at Varana Hotel in Krabi. The staff was amazing. The hotel is gorgeous and quiet. We were looking for a bit more quiet and relaxing stay and that's exactly what we got. The food at the restaurants is great. You have to walk accross the street to get to the beach which is gorgeous. The water is shallow so you're able to walk to a small island. Would definitely stay here again."

The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa, Phuket

"We had a great time at this beautiful place. The amenities are amazing and made our stay very comfortable. We loved the pools, the beach, our son really enjoyed his time at the kids club. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. They booked our transportation to Phi Phi island for us and they offer free shuttle service to the old town and Patong beach. The only negatives for us would be, the hotel restaurants are a bit overpriced and the exterior is getting run-down."
