"Amazing views of Mount Taranaki from the hot tub room. Heated towel racks. Impeccably clean. Would’ve loved to stay here more nights. Great stay after driving through from the Forgotten World Highway. If you are sensitive to noise, it is on a main road but that didn’t bother us at all."

The hosts are knowledgeable about their animals and surroundings and are happy to share their knowledge and engage but are also very aware of knowing when to give you private and space. We thought they had the balance of this just right. We really enjoyed the peaceful environment and the amazing spa pool.. the hosts had thought of everything and we didn't want for anything...nice little treats provided including breakfast The bed was really comfortable, the place was spotless and we will definitely return if they will have us "

"The property is per photos. It's location can't be beat! Close to the main part of town, forgotten highway and great dog friendly bush walks are a stone's throw away. Be mindful that the property is not fenced, as per photos, but this was not an issue for our 2 dogs. As mentioned in a previous review there is no curtain/blind for the lounge which would have been nice. Beds comfortable, shower fabulous, everything in good working order. I can't speak highly enough about the property manager! Communication was great and appreciated their offer of help when we needed to leave early. Would recommend this property for dog owners, and families as in a safe area for children down the end of a driveway. Perfect spot to base yourself to explore the forgotten highway and Stratford. We really appreciated being able to holiday with our dogs, thank you for being so inclusive of all family members, we hope to visit again one day."

"The Mill House is such a wonderful place to stay - so clean, so welcoming, and every little detail has been thought about to make you comfortable and at home… a Nespresso coffee machine, deep bath with candles provided, fluffy robes, fresh flowers in every room, helpful basics in the fridge. And every room was lovely. We hoped it would be beautiful from the photos, but it exceeded our expectations!We had our dogs with us and they loved running around the big lawn and we enjoyed the pretty garden. We picked this place mainly because we could bring our dogs, but would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to really get away from it all! It’s incredibly peaceful despite being so close to the highway. The host Amanda was also really helpful and easy and prompt to deal with. Much appreciated and we look forward to staying here again!"
