"Nice place to stay, location was amazing. This is a bit inconvenient if you are traveling for a shorter stay, because you have to check in about a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment. The only issue we had was the couch had dog hair on it and it transferred to dark clothing. This was the only thing that wasn’t ideal. "

"Hotel has great facilities, but it has poor cleanness. we found, at least, 30 bugs inside our apartment. We had to remove the bugs several times as they coming out from somewhere we could not find. In addition, closest and other places in the rooms where not clean and smelly. We report the issues at check out as we checked in late afternoon, were going to stay for one night, and did not want to have other people coming into our apartment to clean."

"Regular visitor to Villa Birdie and highly recommend. Torremirona is in a beautiful and peaceful setting and the Villa Birdie apartments are excellent value. They are large, well maintained, comfortable and quiet and a 2 minute walk to the hotel or sports club."

"We were just there for one day. The rooms are big and spacious, beds are nice and comfy with a full kitchen - great for longer stays - close to the highway. The only reason 3 star on property condition was because our ac was leaking in the night but no other issues and it did not disrupt our sleep. The restaurant was very highly rated and packed."

"We really enjoyed our stay in La Rectoria, The house's very thick walls and spaciousness enabled us to relly enjoy our time there. The gardens are beautiful and the pool was a big plus. The only reasons I did not give it 5 stars is that it has only 2 bathrooms even though it sleeps 24 persons so it would be helpful to have a separate toilet and sink on the lower floor. "Overall the accomodation was ok, nothing amazing but comfy enough, it does need some attention however. The major downside was the 'spa' facilities and the communication from the very rude staff members. "One thing - if you use Google maps it will take you up a tiny street you cannot turn around in. I dropped off my partner and then was committed to a very slow 20 minute drive through small alleyways with pedestrians to find the way out and parking. It was just a 6-minute walk downhill back to the hotel but still kind of a stressful experience. Not the hotel's fault... Hotel and rooms are awesome. Just don't drive to the front door."

A comfortable stay in Girona

"The hotel is comfortable, quiet, and very clean. It is a 10 minute walk to the old town and a 5 minute walk to the train station. The neighborhood has cafes and stores, including a supermarket a few paces from the front door. Clean towels every three days, no coffee/kettle in the room, but otherwise perfectly acceptable."

"Wonderful property that's close to old town site seeing but not loud that can happen if you're in the middle of everything. Being on top of the hill has the advantage of best place to see the city below and sunset from the beautiful roof top terrace over the mountains on the other side of the city. The location also can make it a bit difficult to walk bach to hotel as other reviews have noted. It's not that bad and if needed you can stop to catch your breath on one of the walls. It is a very short walk to the shops and restaurants down in the old town area. Everything was well cared for and clean. They have an online restaurant and bar so you don't need to head down again if you want to stay there in the evening. Area seems safe and is residential so no need to worry about being out late at night. Highly recommend this modern friendly hotel!"
