"One of the highlights of our trip to Thailand was our 3-night stay at Chiang Mai Elephant Friends. The entire staff was extremely personable, always greeting you with a smile throughout our visit. The two on-site restaurants serve excellent Thai cuisine and delicious smoothies! And the interaction with the elephants - feeding them and bathing them - truly a memorable experience that we will always cherish!"

"The hotel was very spacious, close to the resort cafe and reception and within walking distance to the riverbed and sanctuary. It had good amenities with a large outdoor shower with shower gel/ shampoo and toilet paper. In the bed room there was bottled water and kettle for teas or coffees, homemade mosquito repellent and soap bar, there was also a hair dryer and a mosquito net which was an extra bonus. The resort offer free shuttle to the riverbed however we walked down and made our way over to the sanctuary it was amazing to see the elephants roaming around with the designated handlers who were so friendly despite the language barrier for some. Overall an amazing experience and would definitely come back again. "

"Fantastic Chalet, in the middle of nowhere. Incredible views. Built into a hillside, lots of stairs, and different nooks and crannies. In credible vision to be able to develop a place like this. Ingenious. For an almost off-grid resort, 30 minutes from the city of Chang Mai, it would be a definate repeat for us. Magical mists, birds, cats, rainbows, and relaxation. Dont expect room service, they may not have everything on the menu, there is no front desk, but there are really cool frogs, snails, moths galore."

"The property is beautiful. Room was nice but dark with only 2 windows. Staff very pleasant. Expedia site incorrect on services. No made to order breakfast. The 1st 2 days was a buffet and I am vegan so I had toast, fruit and coffee then had plain rice or french fries for dinner. No tour services or info. If you are a light sleeper bring earplugs, dogs barking and roosters crowing all times of day. The close proximity to mae klang waterfall made for a nice walk and great place to have lunch along the riverfront. "
