"We stayed last week and it was our first time in machico. Hotel is very comfortable, clean with good facilities. January is clearly a quiet month here and much of the hotel seemed under occupied. I asked for a room with a nice view. We were given a side sea one but noticed all the sea view rooms appeared unused? As an Expedia customer,I thought they could have gone the extra mile and upgraded us! Only other negative was the final bill didn't equate to the original price booked through...

"Lovely quiet hotel in Machico, short walking distance to the sea front. I enjoyed the breakfast. Staff were very helpful with an issue I had with my passport and helping with my luggage while I went Scuba diving after check out."

"We liked the location, the friendliness of staff and the range of facilities on offer. The only downside that we noted was that the sauna was still under construction and would not be available until April."
