"We have been wanting to stay at this property for a long time even before we moved to the Hill Country. The house is even nicer than the pictures. The view is amazing. You immediately feel at home. They have thought of everything you need and the beds and couch are comfortable. The bathroom is spacious. We especially loved the two separate porches one in the front and one in the back both have beautiful views although in the back you see a lot more wildlife. The family is wonderful as far as having feeders for hummingbirds and other birds as well as a flock of turkeys that come and hang out all around the house And then go down and eat at a feeder below it. The black buck are absolutely beautiful that come to the feeder too. While we were there, it rained one night and it was really neat to hear the rain hitting the roof but then the next morning we could still go walking. Strongly suggest going to the stock pond where you can immediately find fossils of clam shells. We even found some pieces of Nautilis fossil. The variety of wildflowers is wonderful and we even found some we don’t have even though we live only an hour north of the property. The owners provide you with a binder about the history of the property, which is rich and also a map so you can easily find the stock pond and other places to go to. Great for walking and hiking as well as you can drive to a lot of of the locations like we did and then just hike around those area. It is amazing to see moun"

"Quiet and peaceful. Amazing night sky with the sound of the river and croaking frogs. Leaky has some great little restaurants. Bent Rim Grill and Gypsy Sally's were great. State parks nearby with good hiking, especially Lost Maples"

"Need larger tv in cozy cabin . Need better entry signs ,drove by it both ways ,very easy to miss and this is my third time here .Maybe paint cactus at entry a bright green or orange"

"This property was absolutely amazing. The back porch view was outstanding giving us the appreciation to enjoy the scenario. The stars popped at night, we saw critters, and the property’s river access allowed my kids to fish and even swim some. In fact, i found some deep water holes when Inwas rescuing a fishing lure on the opposite river bank. In addition, the property was located conveniently to the grocery store in Leakey and were able to hang out and enjoy music at the local venues.If you are looking for a quiet get away and reconnect with your loved ones, book this place. Rumor has it, that they are adding a pool as well so you can break things up with the family."

"Great place for our getaway will stay again soon. Just bring bed sheets. pillows and blankets and towels kitchens are full equipped for cooking. Place was big and roomy and cozy Had a fireplace but didn’t use it. The area is under a burn ban at the moment so we wasn’t able to use firepit at nights walking distance to water hole to soak your feet for the time being Leakey about a 10min drive or so. A convenience store is about a 5min drive. Garner State park is about 10min drive as well. Very scenic area. Great views "

"My family had a wonderful experience at Ashe Creek Hideaway. The property is beautiful and quiet, great for stargazing at night and bird watching during the day. The cabin itself is very comfortable, and the kitchen is well-stocked. We enjoyed playing yard games that were on the property and roasting marshmallows over the large outdoor fire pit. Our dog loved running around the fenced in yard and relaxing on the porch. Short drive to Garner State Park for hiking and picnicking. 100% recommend!"
