I had a single, ensuite room which was great as a solo traveller, not always this option at some hotels. Gary and James were very welcoming, cleanliness was excellent and a great breakfast. "Our free upgrade to a beautiful king size room with balcony was just what we were looking for in our short Torquay stay. The whole hotel was clean, our bathroom was spotless, the balcony had wonderful views of surrounding villas, green areas and of course the sunny view down to the water! Ganesh couldn’t have been more welcoming upon arrival and he provided us with all the information we needed. "The place is under new management who offered a warm welcome, a clean room, done up the place as best they could. The place still has a few issues from being taken over eg shower not draining well and a new mattress due but the new team are trying hard to make a go of it and are trying to make good."

"Hotel is great, excellent value, but all around the area is ' under development' so there is noise ( Monday morning @ 0630) and boarding up and some graffiti. I think once its all done it will be great, I was there on business but if it was a couple / family not so great. That said, I think the ' feel ' of the bar , the staff etc may make it worth a try. "

"The hotel is one of the older ones but this adds to it charm in many areas. There is a lift to the upper floors. The gardens are beautiful and well kept. Offering a walk through to the sea front and shopping area. The room we had was small with a small shower cubicle with plenty of hot water, shower gel and body lotion by Dove. Everything was clean. The bed was also comfortable. Plus a sea view. We used the free indoor pool which was modern and very nice, towels and door key gained from reception. All the staff were very welcoming and happy to help at all times. Food was of a good standard and hot. Again staff did their best to help everyone. "

"All the staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Due to the hotels central location, it makes it much easier for me to meet up with my sister. I have mobility difficulties and the hotel is very good at catering for me and my needs. My friend and I will definitely be staying here again. "
