"We booked here for 2 nights, but only stayed an hour, as we were upset about the poor animals living on the 'farm'. Nothing wrong with the rooms or the swimming pool, but the poor horses & donkeys are kept in awful living conditions. One horse had a huge wound on his leg, which was oozing with puss & covered in flies. The horses are very thin, with prominent ribs. The donkeys have no fresh water, only a green slimy area. "My family and I had a lovely experience staying at La Cucchetta. We only stayed for one night but I would recommend this accommodation for a weekend or longer. The grounds and the views of the lake are spectacular, and the staff is lovely and friendly. I will book again if I have the chance to go back to the area. "
