"The views on the property were amazing. The location was great. The food was great. The staff in the Canopy restaurant/bar were amazing. Beautiful rooms. We loved the property but were disappointed with our check in. Upon arrival, at check in time, we were told it would only be a few minutes. It took almost an hour. Thatā€™s not the end of the world but worth mentioning. My biggest concern was cleanliness. On multiple occasions we had to ask for clean silverware as the ones given to us were nasty...

"Gorgeous spot, we had an unusually sunny evening and had the place to ourselves - it was a Monday - 10 minutes drive to Ballymaloe cookery school and shop, donā€™t miss it! Jade was at reception and was very helpful and friendly. Room was lovely, you couldnā€™t top the view, between the harbour, lighthouse and ocean it was spectacular. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant, it was excellent. Will definitely stay again."

"Owner was in contact straight with a very extensive information package running to several pages. He also contacted us by TELEPHONE directly from the USA! The booklet emphasised the wooden floors (several times) as also he did (several times) which was a tad OTT (or maybe just tor us standoffish Brits). The irish contact however was really helpful and left the key in an agreed place for us. When we arrived, we were not quite sure which cottage was ours so a sign might be useful. Upon arrival...

"We made our reservation last minute . The staff were so friendly and helpful they made us feel comfortable and it felt like home. It's a beautiful property it takes you back some years . Dinner was so delicious and once again an at home feeling. The easiest checkin and checkout we've ever experienced. Free parking & WiFi Its a family run business. Would recommend it to anyone šŸ˜Š"

"There is not much going on in Fermoy, but it is possible to drive to some major attractions such as the national park if you donā€™t mind a bit of a drive. The house is very tastefully decorated and well equipped, but it is very small and the beds are listed as queens. If you are coming from America, please note this means full. Not a lot of room for suitcases, but the listing clearly stated how small it was. Overall acute little place, but not really in a destination spot."

"This place and the surrounding area are amazing in my opinion. I learned the hard way, but you deff need a car in this area. The towns all around are cute and have a nice old school charm. And Lismore castle and gardens are amazing. Just wish the lord and lady would allow tours of the castle."
