"We stayed here for a week during the first week of July and had a wonderful time in this beautiful secluded chatel set in the mountains above Morzine. This was our 4th trip to the area in summertime but our first time that we hadn't stayed in an apartment. We decided to push the boat out a little this time and it was well worth it. "The home and stay was really lovely. We had an amazing time in Samoens with our young family. The home was generally clean, had comfortable beds, a great hot tub, and a lovely view. However, the basement smelled musty, the clothes washer was moldy, and they have decided that garbage bags, toilet paper, dishwashing detergent, and soap for the bathrooms, count as groceries so these products weren’t provided and we had to buy our own. "Great location, lovely traditional style Chalet of the haute savoie but all the mod cons. The sound of the river and wind in the trees. Stunning walk into Morzine along the Dranse river or a quick run in the car to the shops coffee etc. Great sunny terrace for evening eating."

"Short walk from train to hotel. Clean, comfortable room. Check-in required deposit which was returned after room inspection by check-out staff. No breakfast available as onsite restaurant was closed for season; one very good option for dinner nearby. "

"What a wonderful stay!! I was pleasantly surprised. I will say the comments from everyone were correct and helped with me to choose this property. It was my first trip to Vevey so i was very skeptical. I am a Hilton/Marriott member and was scared to death. Now I will NOT stay anywhere else but at Astra. the location is PERFECT especially if you will ride the train. The rooms will be beyond clean!! I am a germ-phob and I couldn't find anything to complain about LOL. Great stay if you are from the U.S. and looking for the comforts of home this is the place. Same as a Hilton. I did upgrade my room to a bigger room but that was just because i knew ahead of time that overseas rooms tend to run on the smaller side. Book it you wont be upset."

Excellent stay at Mona Hotel

"We loved our stay at Hotel Mona. I highly recommend to book a room with Lakeview, amazing view of lake Geneva. Our room was spacious, it had an included mini bar at no extra charge, chocolates and wine. Breakfast buffet was very good and has plenty of options, including omelette station. There's always coffee, tea, water and juice at the lobby free of charge and in the evening they bring out a Pop corn machine and candy. It also has a Jacuzzi, outdoor seating by the lake. There's laundry facilities free of charge, just ask at the reception for the key, the laundry room also has the ice maker machine and a microwave. The hotel's location couldn't be better, 5 minutes from the train station, 1 minute to the tram stop, the Freddy Mercury statue is less than 10 minutes walk by the lake, and shopping and restaurants close by. Customer service was excellent; we hope to come back to Mona Hotel."
