"I always stay at this hotel but I have to say I noticed a big change this time. The hotel is cutting corners and this affects staff morale and customer satisfaction. They stopped doing the rum punch welcome drink. The breakfast has been cut. They had no plantains for breakfast. other things have been scaled back. I heard it was due to cost. I don't want egg for breakfast everyday. The management need to look at this. "

"The property itself was in good shape although it is dated. The staff was absolutely amazing. They were the shining stars of the entire resort. It was disappointing that a resort in Jamaica did not have much Jamaican cuisine. But there were other adequate dining options."

"Overall stay was good. The WiFi service in the room needs to be significantly improved. Breakfast needs to be improved with more options especially for Jamaican breakfast items. Poolside restaurant service was slow and needs to be improved."

"The thing I appreciated most was the courtesy of the staff. From the front desk to the housekeepers. Only complaint is breakfast could be a 'solid', for the lack of a better word. Instead of just coffee and toast. Eggs fried or boiled. Or calaloo , saltfish. Nothing expensive. Anyway I enjoyed my stay and have shared my experience with others. "

"Hibiscus Lodge is magical! I've been twice and plan to return as many times as i can. It's definitely not a 5 star hotel, but i love it. The gardens and the landing where you can walk out into the sea are my two favorite spots. The restaurant serves excellent food, and breakfast is included. The area around the hotel is a little seedy by American standards, but i felt safe there, even traveling by myself. The bartenders, Dion, Danvil, and Jatavia, were wonderful and took very good care of me....

"Two words…truly exceptional! This was THE perfect vacation. All inclusive…amazing food and drinks, gorgeous resort, breathtaking views and wonderful people. This was like home away from home. My husband spoiled me with booking the Tufa Terrace Suite and it was worth every penny. Our butlers, Akeem and Fernando, went above and beyond. Sandal’s is the place to stay!! "
