"The Fleece inn, was a little hidden gem. Was a great pub that was furnished and decorated to a very high standard. They food was very nice and very good value. All the staff were very friendly. I would for sure Go back! "

"There were not curtains or black out curtains on the windows. The mirror had emotion detection led lights and as I was trying to switch them off I found a syringe, thankfully without the needle. I'm very disappointed with the overall condition of the room."

"Such a bad check in. Took 15-20 minutes to get me into the room, which was terrible. Pictures on adverts did not represent the place. Shared bathroom with no toilet seat. Just such a bad experience. I prepaid for 2 nights and paid for another hotel second night so I didn’t have to stay. "

"We had a lovely but brief stay at Buxton. Alex was there to greet us with lots of suggestions for things to do. There are no surprises-the property is listed accurately. The beds are clean and the shower is hot!"

"Lovely..nice & modern apartment..well cleaned but had only 2 tiny heaters on the wall. It was a square type. Thes 1 in the living room and 1 in the the bedroom..with not alot of heat coming out..there was a waste. There was a wooden burning stove but the wood supplied didnt last long & then it was £5 for another bag..alternatively the wood could be purchased at a store in the village but it was very windy & wet to go out"

"Excellent location, tidy and clean. Parking takes a bit of working out and more advice beforehand would have helped. Comfy bed and great facilities in the studio. The heater was a bit awkward having only 2 settings, off and volcano. There was no way to adjust because the controls were locked. All in all an excellent choice once you've worked out the virtual front desk. If you are booking with Expedia check all the emails for your entrance code. "A fantastic find for our needs. The owner was exceptionally helpful. Central to the city. Great value for money. We had a great room. However a few things to make it better : 1- the oven/microwave didn’t work even after trying a few times. It needs a master in engineering to make it work. Maybe stick with 2 separate items. 2- Not ideal for light sleepers. Can sadly hear a lot through the walls. 3- although the apartment was clean. I am not too sure the hoover was done. "We were very impressed with our room which was very clean and looked freshly reburbished. The hotel itself was also clean and fresh with very helpful and friendly staff. A stones throw from restaurants and the theatre so convenient location. Would recommend to others. "

Fantastic place and stay

"Fantastic stay at Oulton Hall, much better than Slaley Hall in our opinions. Very pleasant staff and little touches to make you feel welcome like the complementary drinks in the fridge and Prosecco and fruit in reception. Could have done with some more bar staff for a busy day evening as waited quite a while for drinks and the jacuzzi button moving to the actual jacuzzi (I know there be a reason why isn’t) but otherwise perfect 👍 "
