The downsides were mainly the six flights of stairs and the fact that the bathroom is shared. Antonio was accommodating and offered good advice about what to see and where to eat. "We had a great stay at villa Lucia, we where met by the owner who showed us around, the property has an abundance of period features and is spotlessly clean and meticulously maintained, it has a lovely pool and terrace with a mature well maintained garden. It made a great base for visits to Florence We drove about 20 mins to the centre of Prato and took a 30 minute train journey into the centre of Florence just €20 return for four of us. "We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful cottage, which has been lovingly built and maintained by Carlo. It is close enough to Florence for easy day trips - a car is recommended for convenient access to the property, but there is ample free parking in a nearby town to head downtown by bus.
