"The hotel was set back from the main road, which definitely offered some peace and quiet. The interior was nice, and the room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, and the lady up front made some suggestions on when we should arrive for a concert we were in town to see. The only issue, however, was we coincidentally arrived as they had sprung a leak in the plumbing above the dining room, which they quickly had fixed and cleaned up for breakfast. However, this caused the water in our room to be brown for a bit, but it cleared up. The leak, however, made me think they had a waterfall in their dining room, and I suggested maybe they should install one."

"The property was beautiful, clean, and convenient to the concert venue and Jim Thorpe scenic railway where we had reservations. Connor at the front desk was cheerful and helped us decide on a place for dinner. Breakfast was good and made it convenient for continuing our trip right on time."

"This is definitely a rustic place . It brought back many memories of when our kids were little and we stayed in places like this. It definitely looks as if they are trying to do some upgrades. I must say the bed the sheets and the pillows are still comfortable. It was the best night sleep I had in a long time. I loved the old feel of the spiral staircase. They definitely need to do a little maintenance on somethings . All in all I will definitely be staying there again. The staff was so polite and helpful. I have an OCD issue on what side of the room I like and I asked the young lady at the desk to move me and she didn't with a smile on her face. ❤️ My room had a nice refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker. I would suggest a microwave in the future for longer stays. I'm sure it's on their list of things to do. I believe with some new furniture and lamps and a little cosmetic work this place will be popping again. Great location and they even had a restaurant inside. The food smelled so good. I will have to try it next time. The price was great and I generally enjoyed my stay. Thank you for the ride down memory lane "
