"Such a welcoming and cosy home in Bruges - not far to walk to the centre and toasty warm coming back from the Christmas markets. Lots of space for us all to spread out (7) and the home is very beautiful to be in. Beds all super comfortable with crisp linen too. The house doesn’t actually have a hot tub - it’s an indoor jacuzzi bath but there is a sauna with double shower. The kitchen is well equipped although the kettle didn’t work when we were there . Would recommend."

"We arrived on a sunday afternoon when shops are closed but bought some food to bring . Only negative we found was that there were no sheets or duvet covers . Hard to know sizes in advance and shops being closed made it challenging for first night when you travel from far away countries. Most other things available in the house. It has a good electric cookplate ,good size fridge,small freezer compartment. Sofa s are covered with blankets but comfortable. Beds were comfortable but single matresses...

"Charming and comfortable, De Hoedenmaker was the perfect place to stay on my first visit to Bruges. Pascal met us to orient us to the house and the city, and made great recommendations. "Recently had a long weekend here and it really is a fabulous place to stay. Situated just outside Blankenberge, it is a perfect location for the beaches, the lovely bars and restaurants in the town centre (some of the best food in Europe) and also a great base for adventuring to other towns and cities. "Die Ausstattung des Hauses war nur "Basic" mit keiner Liebe für Details. Keine Sitzkissen auf den Stühlen, obere Etage sehr spartanisch ausgestattet, z.B.ohne Handtuchhalter, etc.. Die Betten waren sehr gut! Die Rezeption war gar nicht besetzt, telefonisch aber erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Ansonsten war das Haus sehr schön mit guter Lage zum Strand."

"This is a beautiful accommodation in a beautiful setting. The description is correct in noting the "eye for detail": the interior decor is stunning. The loft / open concept was ideal for my husband, son and I and the location allowed for daytrips to Bruges, Ghent as well as some cycling along the canal (although the bicycles are in need of some maintenance)."

"Good facilities, good size for 6 people supermarket 5 minute walk away. Spa and pool excellent the kids loved it, well equipped kitchen. The only problem was the smoke detectors are very sensitive, there's one on the bathroom which was triggered by steam from the shower and one was set off by spray deodorant, so security show up and say there's a problem and you have to open the balcony door, not ideal in winter. Overall a good stay."

Fantastic hotel in a great location

"The hotel was beautiful situated in a great location in walking distance from Bruges market. On arrival the staff were extremely friendly and this continued throughout our stay. The room was small but ideal for a 2 night stay in the city. The room and bathroom was clean and we were provided with coffee facilities and toiletries. The hotel was in a great location abouts 15 minutes from both the markets and station. The hotel bar was very cosy and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend! "

Beautiful hotel

"One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Absolutely beautiful and the decorations for Christmas were stunning. We loved spending time in the lounge area by the fire, the breakfast was very tasty and the hotel is in the perfect location. Would highly recommend. My ownly fault, and this isnt unique to this hotel, is that we paid an additional price for our four month son to stay (which is expected). Then when checking in online, we were asked to pay an extra price for a cot. That's like paying for an adult to stay in a hotel, then asking them to pay for their bed. The cot should be included, if the infant has already been paid for. We made do with our bassinet pram instead. "
