"We stayed for 3 nights for a Christmas shopping trip, the hotel is in a perfect location very close to York Minster and with lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep. We were met with a very warm welcome, our room was small but had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend this lovely boutique Guest House"

"A surprisingly large large hotel renovated from a lovely Edwardian (or maybe Victorian) redbrick house. The room was cozy enough, though perhaps a new mattress would be a sound investment. I was in an economy single room. It was suitable for work I was doing, as well as walkable to the city centre. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the breakfasts were delicious and satisfying. "

"Slightly complicated check in process with nobody on site and having to call a mobile number. However, once I was in everything was very clear. My room was up 2 very steep sets of stairs. It was compact but clean, with a small ensuite. The shower pressure was very weak unfortunately, but otherwise the room was excellent value for money. Walls not sound proof so spent the night listening to a neighbour snoring unfortunately but very comfortable bed. Carpet was vacuumed but could do with a shampoo. Excellent breakfast. "Wow what a beautiful place. Fabulous room, huge comftable bed with modern bathroom and very refreshing power shower.The room was well stocked with lively teas, coffees and biscuits, no scrimping ! Following morning we had a really beautiful breakfast in a gorgeous breakfast room from a lovely friendly team. It was all topped off with a fall overnight of snow, so we woke up to a stunning winter wonderland. Cant recommend highly enough we will definitely be back and definitely to the Staverley...

"The studio room we stayed in was lovely and cosy. Everything felt very high-end from the decor to the coffee machine. There wasn’t one thing I’d change. The free parking at the back of the building was an added bonus too. It was the perfect base to explore Harrogate Centre, 5 minute walk and you’re in the centre. Totally recommend this place and very reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. "

"Comfortable and well equipped home from home. Welcoming and communicative hosts and an excellent guide to the local area. The parking disc was a handy and thoughtful idea! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cooked a few nights in, kitchen is fine and functional. The bath is large and lovely and the bed comfortable . One big comfy sofa with extra blankets would be an upgrade to the living room. Thank you! <3"
