"We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together"

Spot the old fashioned record player in the bathroom. Have breakfast with perfectly mismatched crockery. Be encouraged to explore on your own rather than have a formal tour. "I loved this property. Angela, the owner, was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I loved that it was a farm and enjoyed the drive back and forward each day. One day we were stopped as a dog got all the sheep into one little area. It is not far away from where we wanted to be and we went to Beatrix Potter Hilltop house and the attraction. As well as House on the bridge and the famous gingerbread place at Gracemere. "

"It's a beautiful area with stunning scenery just a short drive away. The house itself has so much character with a lovely large kitchen/dining area and big lounge. The garden is beautiful too - quiet and enclosed. We loved that you could walk to Kirkby Stephen over Frank's Bridge, which we did quite often. All in all, we had a lovely weekend."
