"Amazing villa , we would definitely go back! Was super clean on arrival and the photos don’t do this villa justice as was really nice . The family that own the villa were extremely welcoming and always available if needed. They brought us fresh eggs and made us feel so welcome . A car is a must for this villa as it is located in a village about 20 mins from Rethimno by car but the location is lovely and quiet. "Everythiing about our four day stay was wonderful. The view, the house, the grounds, the area. Small store close by and Lidls very close for big shopping. Kitchen was well equipped, plenty of seating and nice porch overlooking pool. The view from the top of the house is lovely. Air conditioning works great, shower was great. We would stay again!"

Whilst you have the modern luxury, the villa is a 5 minute walk to heart of Kiriana and the super friendly shop and cafes. Above the village you can walk in the lanes amongst the olive groves taking in the lovely views. The best thing of all about Villa Athena though are your hosts, the owners Mr and Mrs Kosta. "Wat een heerlijk huis om tot rust te komen! De omgeving is zeer rustig met een supermarktje op loopafstand. De bakker komt iedere ochtend om 9:30 bij je deur :) Ik zou welaanraden een auto te huren. Over de gastheer en zijn ouders ( vooral zijn vader): wat een behulpzame en zorgzame mensen! Niks was teveel als je vragen had :) En natuurlijk niet te vergeten een heerlijk zwembad. Ik zou deze woning zeker aanraden👌"

"My husband and I stayed for a few days in Crete at the Villa and we had a very relaxing time! Elena was very responsive and able to answer many of our questions! The driveway is a little bit hard to find, but using Google maps satellite helps. There was also a cat that stayed around the Villa that was very affectionate and friendly. We fed the cat since it seemed very hungry, and we left some cat food for the next people to stay at the Villa!"
