"The restaurant was closed when we arrived. The nearest restaurant was a few blocks away. Airport is built on an island with a freeway bridge connecting it to the mainland. Taxi was $28 to hotel a couple miles away. Hotel floor plan is confusing making it challenging to find your room. Staff is helpful and responsive. Room is clean. We had a diagonal pillar on one side of the bed so it was like having a wall so we couldn't walk on that side of the bed. "

"Conveniently located within walking distance from JR Wakayama and in front of the bus station, hotel is well situated for travelling to other parts of Wakayama or within the city. Hotel is pretty old and rooms are small sized. Bathroom is pretty compact which is typical of Japanese hotels. Do not get a room near the lift as walls are thin and can hear the lift moving up and down. Rooms are actually quite dusty as there were visible dust balls on the tea packets. "We only did a one night stay. It’s a comfortable hotel and checking in was quick. The staff were friendly, the female spoke good English and also gave us a map of the immediate surroundings showing eateries and the supermarket. The free airport coach is a big bonus."
