All the best shopping and eating places were nearby. However, the staff was not very friendly and behaved rudely on many instances. "Really helpful we checked in really early tired from the train and were helped with every request by all staff. We looked at other hotels when we stayed in Lau Cai and were glad we stayed here. Lau Cai is a fascinating place with the Chinese Border and the Red River. a couple of days is a good rest here. I had to change plans often and The Lady Manager helped me with Facebook messages in English changing dates and arranging a cheap transfer to Sapa."
