"If you like a modern hotel this is not the place for you. It is full of interesting old memorabilia and history. I have never come across such personable friendly staff. Fabulous meals in both the restaurant and the cafe. "

"Ballina Manor was okay but needs some update to its overall condition. Was a bit disappointed that there was no temperature control in the room as it was rather stuffy in there. In summary, nice but could improve. Hotel staff was okay. Not rude, but definitely not excellent service "

"This was such a wonderful experience to have the opportunity to stay in a beautiful and lovingly restored period home. It truly was like taking a step back in time and like staying in a museum! Trudy was absolutely fantastic and I am so impressed with how she has cared for this home and that she opens it up for others to enjoy this property. My favorite parts were playing the piano by the fire in the living room each night and having our path home blocked by sheep one morning. This is such a special town and a true gem.
