"The house was perfect for our girls weekend and having the extra sleeping space and bathroom upstairs worked great. The location was great and centrally located. The only suggestion we had was to maybe add wine glasses to the supplies and a broom or small vacuum. Thank you!"

"Cute place that met our needs for a long weekend in Alexandria. There were three ladies sharing this house and worked perfect having 3 beds. Cheaper than a hotel and plenty more space to spread out. Kitchen had all the essentials we needed. We had a snow/ice storm and owner was prompt in shoveling as well, appreciate it! "

"Our niece's wedding was at Carlos Creek Winery. This was a perfect place to stay for the weekend. It was very spacious, very clean and lots of amenities. We had a bonfire Saturday night. We would definitely stay there again. "

"We loved our visit! A group of college friends gathered for the weekend. We had plenty of space and enjoyed the living room area with couches and room to gather. We loved being near the lake. Robin was extremely helpful, kind, and quick with communication. Thank you!!!"

"6 women spent a restful and challenging weekend together in this beautiful home. Beds are comfortable. Home is beautiful and cozy. Our chef commented that this was the most comfortable kitchen she has ever worked in. For an old house, it was remarkably quiet and not drafty! May or may not be haunted…depends on who you ask. ;). Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again!"

"The Lakeside Retreat is great! Cleanliness is my highest priority and it was clean! It had everything we needed and was located on such a sweet spot. The pictures do not due is justice as the space is very functional and conducive for gathering and doing different activities. We would definitely return."

"Our 1st annual "Girls gone Wild" weekend. The group consisted of Mother, daughters & daughter-in-laws. We had a blast, visiting and playing games. The facility is great and with so much room. Loved it!!! So well supplied too. "

"My family of six and I as well as our fur baby Frank spent an incredible five days at this property. The property is beautiful and the lake even more so. Situated just 13 minutes from anything you need in Alexandria, this lakefront property sits at the end of the road, which provides Seclusion and privacy. The garage provides plenty of recreational space and it is just a few short steps on flatland from the door to the dock. The fishing on the lake was also fantastic. Will definitely come back"

Located in an easy to access area within a couple of miles of restaurants, groceries, gas, and shopping. We enjoyed our stay and only wish it had been summer so that we could have enjoyed the lake. "We all enjoyed this cabin on the lake. It was well-equipped. The kids loved the bunk room. Alot of space which worked well for our crew as room to play and visit but also well thought out for time together for meals and crafts. We will stay again if in the area. It did not matter to us, but for some it may, we did not have access to a washer/dryer and there is also no dishwasher. Again, we would stay given the location and other amenities in the house. "
