"This was our first time staying in a Mercure. The location was ideal for us, close to the centre but not too busy and more reasonable price. The lounge and bar downstairs was lovely. Nice Christmas decorations too. Check in was easy and efficient. Room was great, very clean, everything we needed. The layout, tv and bathroom felt more modern and slightly more high end compared to a Premier Inn. We will definitely stay at a Mercure again!"

She didn't realise we had a dog but changed our room and our dog got a welcome pack which was a lovely touch... the hotel itself had a great vibe to it which is what i needed as i was visiting my sick daughter at the university hospital of Wales. "I stayed at TY Newport as TY Magor had closed for the Christmas holiday, this wasn’t a problem they gave me plenty of notice telling me I was being transferred to TY Newport the staff there was very friendly and helpful and the hotel I know is new but still very nice place to stay,I will be returning to this hotel if the prices are right."
