"We had a great stay. Pictures represent the property well. The place is about 20 minutes from Pahoa city-center (if that’s helpful). Met Sean who shared some insights about the area and local cuisine. Ashley was great at communicating and checking in with us via VRBO messages. Overall we had a really nice time in the area and were grateful to have a peaceful place to stay as we explored this side of the Island."

"Really enjoyed my four nights here. Everything was perfect! Immaculate to say the least. Quiet and private. Stars out every morning, brilliant! Wasn’t expecting the weather, but it was stunning! Can’t wait to return! Washer and dryer very handy. "

"Overall, it was a good stay, and I would stay here again. The view and sounds of the ocean were amazing as promised. The beds were comfortable, which is a huge priority for me. The location is not super convenient to activities, but it is a quiet neighborhood. The only major complaint for us was the living room furniture. Every piece was uncomfortable and falling apart. There was no really comfortable place to sit together and chat. "

Magical Rainforest Stay

"Loved this beautiful, handcrafted home tucked into an amazing rainforest. Loads of space for 4 adults and 2 children. Sitting outside listening to the night sounds of the rainforest was unforgettable. This house has lots of interesting artwork—so I will say that if you have an inquisitive 4-year-old in your group, you will have to keep vigilant watch!! Getting to the national park and Hilo was easy. "

"Stepping onto this property felt like walking into the world of Avatar—bursting with vibrant colors, calming scents, and breathtaking scenery that instantly puts you at ease. This spot exceeded every expectation and ranks among the best places my partner and I have stayed. Beautiful grounds, warm and welcoming hosts, and cozy accommodations all just a quick hop from Hilo and Puna. Absolutely a slice of paradise!"

Excellent location and exactly as described

"The property was exactly as described. Great location and central to all we wanted to do. We slept great with ocean breezes and never had a problem with no a/c. The driveway was steep but we knew that from our instructions and we expected that with level where we parked and unloaded."

Hidden Gem Near Volcano

"Quiet neighborhood with a rainforest like atmosphere. Covered outside area to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning and libations in the evening after a grand hike around the rim. The beds were soft. The gas fireplace was awesome on a rainy evening after dinner. This place was perfect for our stay and we would love to stay here again given the opportunity. "

Amazing!

"If you go to the Big Island, this is where you want to stay. The view is the best. We saw sea turtles every morning. It was less than 10 minutes from a good-sized farmer's market. All the stuff in Hilo is just 30 minutes away. Plenty of room for our family of 6 adults. Lots of beach gear! Thank you."
