"This was the perfect place to stay as we waited for Pele to make her appearance on Kilauea. It's an easy 10 minute drive to the national park, and Hilo town is less than 45 minutes away. The house is cozy and comfortable, nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of thoughtful amenities and charm. "

"Great little place tucked away from the busier Hilo area. Probably a bit better suited for 4 than 5 given the overall size and having to use an air mattress. Owners were nice and let my kids feed the koi, which was exciting for them. "

"This house was a wonderful place to stay. There was no air-conditioning in this place but it was not needed. The wind coming off the sea was sufficient to cool the house and sometimes at night it was cold. The sounds of the waves crashing against the cliffs was the best "white noise" to fall asleep or read your favorite book. The place is stocked with the tools you need to cook with. The neighbors are quiet and friendly. The place is conveniently located close to the Volcano National Park so you can vist the Volcano. We did get to see the eruption during our stay. Several hiking trails beaches located near by. Kona is about two hours away but is worth the drive for the beautiful scenery. Mauna Loa is beautiful. The owners are very nice and are easy to reach if you have questions. Don't feed the chickens! Lol"

"The staff was so friendly. There were lots of animals: peacocks, cats, frogs, geese. We loved it! We booked it to be closer to Volcanoes National Park, without realizing there was no road that cuts across. We had to go amidst to Hilo in order to go back down to the Volcanoes, so it wasn't the most convenient, but we loved the vibe!"

"Spacious, clean, furnished "home" located in quiet area. Host very responsive to inquiries and requests. Fully furnished with sports equipment. Property full of fauna that produces fruit (albeit we were there at low season) One drawback - house is located some time from Hilo (depending on traffic) so plan your excurstions accordingly"
