"Plantation Hale Suites was well located (about halfway from the north and south shore areas). After reading some reviews complaining about the condition of the units, I was hesitant about staying here, However, our unit was in good condition, air conditioner worked fine (although a bit noisy which made watching tv a challenge with a high volume necessary), as did the ceiling fans. "Property, at least when we were accommodated as we’d expected, was excellent. Very disappointed in Expedia for not reserving us the unit we had selected and reserved. Led to unnecessary hardship and tension. The Expedia process as far as Kiahuna is concerned, can’t be trusted."

"This property perhaps is best appreciated by thinking of it as a 'condo ' rather than a posh resort. Very well run, clean, close attention to detail, free parking, loaner beach gear etc. If you are expecting water slides and a lazy river...no. Medium sized pool w/ hot tub that we rarely shared w/ anyone. Do note that the upstairs neighbors were loud -- early (4 and 5 am) in spite of 'quiet time'. We complained once and then let it go... Great home base to Hanalei and local beaches. "
