"This hotel was dirty!! We were expecting old as we wanted to keep costs down and rayes were low. I have stayed in many APA hotels across Japan and they are fine. But this one was filthy. We had booked 4 nights but after one night cancelled and changed to another hotel. Beds were actually decent in condition (APA Kyoto had beds made out of cardboard) but mold and dust, dirty everywhere in room. Can’t recommend it here. Plenty of nice hotels in Kanazawa."

"Property owner was amazing and very accommodating. It was a lovely vacation rental and we only wish we had more days to enjoy. The air conditioning worked very well. "Really nice little house, comfortable and good lay out. Great check in experience! Valentine was very kind and welcoming! She gave us lots of recommendations. Bring a dvd movie you love, there’s a DVD player and not really any moves. You’ll want something to relax to at night and Japanese tv channels in English are super limited. Also, if you don’t speak much Japanese dining out can be tough here and most places needed reservations on top of that. I would plan your dinners out ahead of time...

"The woman who runs this inn is an amazing person. She was kind, recommended great local restaurants, and even drove us to Kanazawa station free of charge at the end of our stay. The rooms are impressive, japanese-style, and have access to an onsen. Highly recommend a stay here. "

"This ryokan was a top experience of our two-week trip in Japan. Such a charming and unique oasis and glimpse of traditional Japanese life. The rooms and facilities are even better than pictured. An onsen is included in the price, and you can go as often as you'd like. We highly recommend their nine-course meal that you can reserve (for an extra fee) up to two days prior to your stay. They even accommodated our group member's gluten allergy. The ryokan is easily accessible by bus from Kanazawa...
