The carpet is old and had a weird smell. The rooms had paint coming off the walls. Everything was old and our bathroom had spiders. We checked in at 11:00pm and checked out the same night at 11:10pm. "do not stay here if you're western. its a traditional japanese hotel and totally alien. dreadful bedding / beds. smokey. just a waste of money. there's a much better and lower cost hotel right opposite. the building is tatty and generally sooooo disappointing."
