"Tatum Villas Villa is a beautiful new lodge, 5-stars for a reason. The staff are all lovely and extremely eager to please; rooms spacious, gorgeous, and private; and food very good. My only quibble was that rains had flooded the road into the nearby entrance of the Wilpattu park, so doing a safari drive involves a 1.5 hr ride to the eastern park entrance, which kind of defeats the purpose of staying on the quieter western edge. Still a beautiful place to stay, though."

"The team at Big Game was amazing! We booked because we really wanted to do a safari and that was amazing but we were blown away be everything else! The food was above and beyond what I expected with 4 courses for dinner, 3 at lunch , and a very full breakfast. They list breakfast as continental but it's much more than that. The first tent we were in was fine but we upgraded part way through and really appreciated the extra space! "

"We had a fabulous stay at Wild Wadi. All of the staff made us feel very welcome and special. They were great to chat to, very friendly and answered all of our questions. We were served delicious Sri Lankan food for dinner and breakfast. The grounds are breathtaking and full of wildlife. The room was delightful with a very nice private plunge pool. The hotel is in a very convenient location - very close to the Wilpattu national park entrance. Thank you for having us, we had an unforgettable experience."

"HR Solo traveller I visited the Sanctuary on the recommendation of a friend and thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay there. Great care and much thought has been given to the furnishings of the house. It has an extensive collection of books on wildlife and birds and I could have spent many hours browsing this collection. The food was delicious and I was looked after very well by Dula and his team. There is a good choice of excursions on offer, but I chose a half day tour to the Wilpattu National Park which is only about 30 minutes drive from the Sanctuary. Dula and his wife, Achini were my guides and they took a great deal of trouble to ensure that I had a memorable experience. We were fortunate to see leopard, elephants, sea eagles and much more. I will definitely return on my next visit to Sri Lanka. "
