"My family gathered for my 60th birthday and came from New Orleans. The back porch was perfect for gathering and the house was so spacious. The beds and bedding were so nice. The acorns on the tin roof was a little frightening at times but country living at its best! Beautiful surroundings! We love the Shultz family and Bearcreek never disappoints! "

"We enjoyed our stay. Pleasantly surprised at all the spices and kitchen ware available to us, as well as shampoo/conditioner and soaps. Second bedroom with full size bed left no room for a dresser or closet, although there were a couple of hanging hooks. The second bathroom is downstairs (must go outside of house, down stairs and into garage to get to it). We saw bald eagles, crows, doe and fawn while we were there. Beautiful lake view!!"

"This cabin is beautiful. The interior is clean and comfortable and has just about everything you'd need for a short stay. We enjoyed the accommodations for sure. Now the bad part, the hot tub wasn't working the first night we arrived. The host was super responsive and offered to send someone out that night to fix it. We told her that the next morning was perfectly fine. We spent the day in Jefferson, maintenance came out to fix the hot tub. When we got back from Jefferson, the hot tub was on and...

"It has a lot of room. I enjoyed the big kitchen which made it easy to make breakfast. I liked the walk-in shower since I have trouble stepping over a bathtub. It was a peaceful escape from the city."

"We came for our daughters wedding, needing a place to rest after decorating all day. The house was beautiful and relaxing, and was equipped with everything we could think of. The host was very quick to respond to questions. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back in the future."

"The host was super accomodating especially for a last minute request. She was very attentive and fast to respond to any questions i had and the home was cute and very comfortable with a big back yard and plenty of natural light. Def will return!"

"The house wreaked of moth balls. It was not clean. The outside deck was filthy as something had been spilled all under the table and chairs and was sticky. There were crumbs on the floor and smudges all over the sliding glass door that was near impossible to open. The hot tub was very small and immediately foamed up when we turned it on. I’ve stayed in many VRBO properties and have never had one so misrepresented and so unclean. We ended up staying for one hour and left. I have asked the owner...
