"Very authentic local area, not a tourist area, great local restaurant, close to Old Havana ($5 taxi fare). Extremely friendly and helpful host (with perfect English) took the time to show us around. Air conditioned bedroom, fully stocked kitchen and free breakfast supplied was much appreciated."

The cost reflects the high standards. There is a pleasant outdoor area and rooftop bar. The Vedado area is far less intense than La Havana Vieja and the hotel is certainly a walkable distance from many of the interesting sights, though in the searing heat, we'd advise a taxi to La Havana Vieja."
